We are traditional when it comes to copyediting, and pride ourselves on the quality of this service. Ours is a rigorous, detailed process that reflects the skills of seasoned copy editors. The goal is to improve your manuscript’s overall readability.
One of our copy editors will work directly in the manuscript and focus on spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and syntax. Your copy editor will make light structural changes and offer recommendations for further tweaking.
The copy editor has the right to return the manuscript if he or she finds it to be significantly deficient and in need of a substantive edit. Copy editing does not replace a substantive edit.If after a review the copy editor sends it back to you for reason of deficiency, you will be charged $60, and fees you have already paid will be reimbursed.
- One Page Summary of the copyedits
- Style Sheet: 2 to 7 pages of word choices, spelling, syntax, etc
- A manuscript with detailed copyedits (using the TRACK CHANGES feature in Microsoft Word)
